Japan next stop for Boardman in WTCC

After the six week break at the end of the European races, the WTCC resumes this weekend in Japan, the 3.7 km Okayama circuit playing host to the WTCC for the second time. Tom Boardman will be looking to continue his run of podium finishes in ClubSEAT.co.uk SEAT Leon TFSi which started back at Brands Hatch in July.

That recent run of form has seen the former British & Spanish SEAT Leon Champion confirm himself as the highest placed driver in their debut WTCC Independents season, but Tom is keen to add to his Brands Hatch victory before the end of the season in the Special Tuning (UK) run car

“Winning at in front of the Home crowd was a great moment, but I am determined to prove that I can win at other circuits as well. I’m sure we will have a strong car now for the rest of the season, and hopefully I can score some overall championship points before the year is out also.”

The Lancashire driver, who recently celebrated his 26th birthday, has also spent some time since Imola helping to coach former BTCC racer Simon Blanckley who recently entered his first Spanish Supercopa round at Jerez. Despite the time difference to Japan, it will still be possible to watch the races live on Eurosport this weekend.
